Au bas de l'échelle est un groupe d'éducation populaire et de défense des droits des travailleuses et des travailleurs non syndiqués qui existe depuis 1975. Au bas de l'échelle est un organisme indépendant à but non lucratif, financé par Centraide, par différents ministères, par des dons privés et publics et par la cotisation de ses membres.
NOS OBJECTIFS:
- Défendre les droits et les intérêts des travailleuses et des travailleurs non syndiqués
- Briser leur isolement en favorisant leur regroupement
- Améliorer leurs conditions de travail et leur autonomie
- Lutter contre toute forme de discrimination en emploi
NOS ACTIONS ET NOS SERVICES:
- Services d'information sur les droits au travail
- Sessions de formation sur les lois du travail
- Publication de documents de vulgarisation et d'analyse sur les droits au travail
- Actions collectives pour protéger les droits au travail et les améliorer
- Participation aux consultations publiques portant sur des questions reliées aux droits des travailleuses et des travailleurs non syndiqués
- Concertation avec d'autres organismes et coordination du Front de défense des non-syndiqué-e-s qui regroupe plus de 30 organismes populaires et syndicaux

At COCo, we often receive requests for information about the rights and responsibilities of both employers and employees. Like all other employers in Quebec, community organizations must respect the legal rights of employees and meet certain obligations. By knowing the basic duties and rights outlined by law, organizations and their employees can avoid conflicts, rest assured that they are in good legal standing, and more generally, promote a healthy organization and work atmosphere.
