4-12 Program Coordinator @ Centre Dawson

Job Title: Program Coordinator (5-12 yrs.)
Reports to: Executive Director
Salary: To be determined
Terms: 1 year contract with possibility of extension
The Program Coordinator oversees the coordination and administration of all aspects of the program with respect to the objectives outlined in the Action Plan.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Plan, organize and execute the programs’ action plan approved by the director general and the Board of Directors
• Ensure that the Centre’s policies and procedures are respected by the educators, stagaires and volunteers
• Network within the Verdun community and surrounding areas
• Prepare site and organize materials for various activities
• Maintain program statistics and assist with the preparation of various grant requests, as required
• Prepare an annual program evaluation and make recommendations on how to further develop the program
Demonstrated Competencies
• DEC in social work, recreation or equivalent
• Experience working with children ages 5 to 12
• Experience managing educators and/or volunteers (asset)
• Excellent knowledge of French (written/spoken)
• Excellent knowledge of English (written/spoken)
• Good communication skills
• Proficient in a Windows environment
• Strong sense of leadership and the ability to supervise personnel
• Able to work in a group environment
• Comfortable planning programs and networking within the community
• Participate in the Centre’s fundraising and promotional activities
• Available to work the occasional evening and/or weekend
