The Face A Face Listening and Intervention Center offers active listening and intervention, and collaborative support to vulnerable and isolated individuals, on the telephone and in person, to encourage the process of empowerment and social reintegration. We aspire to strengthen the interconnectedness of people in our community through acceptance, action and equitable practices.
• Increase the Centre’s fundraising potential by soliciting and liaising with potential donors (foundations, corporate, individual)
• Identify funding opportunities and prepare grant applications
• Complete financial and service-related reporting requirements for funders
• Liaise with bookkeeper (currently working from home) to ensure accurate financial information and timely delivery of paycheques and bill payments
• In coordination with the Board of Directors and auditors, help prepare for the Centre’s Annual General Meeting in December
• In coordination with the Board of Directors, strategize and develop budget and fundraising plans
• Perform financial analysis of projects and service delivery
• Work with Canada Summer Jobs-funded Fundraising Coordinator to plan fundraising campaigns
• Maintain media contacts and public relations
• Three-month contract, start date as soon as possible
• Part-time (between 15 and 25 hours per week, negotiable)
• Combination of in-person and from-home work if desired. Centre is currently open in person three days per week, and COVID-19 sanitary measures are rigorously applied
• Pay is between $17 and $19 per hour
Candidate must be bilingual (English & French, spoken & written).
