Position: Communications and Events Coordinator at CEED Concordia
Duration: 15 month contract (September 2018-December 2019) with possibility for 1 year renewal or extension
Time commitment: 15-20/hours per week
Salary: $13.00 / hr
Description: The Communications and Events Coordinator will be responsible for CEED’s visibility and community engagement through the development of outreach and fundraising strategies, event-planning, and maintain relationships with our alumni, other student associations, faculty and sponsors in Montreal and on-campus at Concordia University.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan, create and manage creative content on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn)
• Maintain and update CEED’s website
• Develop promotional materials for CEED’s activities
• Organize one event at Concordia University per semester (excluding Spring/Summer)
• Plan, design and release a monthly newsletter to our subscribers
• Maintain engagement with CEED’s alumni and external partners, including faculty, student groups, and sponsors
• Lead development of fundraising campaigns
• Assist in recruitment events and activities
• Manage the Montreal office during the summer months (May-August)
Required Skills:
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and manage a variety of tasks
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Familiarity with Google Drive, social media platforms, and MailChimp
Assets:
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or design programs
• Event-planning experience
• Knowledge and understanding of CEED mandate and projects abroad
• Good understanding of Concordia community
