Job Description:
Hear Québec is in the process of developing a new strategic plan, and the Community Development Worker will work closely with the Executive Director and Strategic Plan Committee to fulfill its mandate. They will research and study other hearing health organizations and professionals in the field in order to help identify the gaps in services in the hearing loss community to better our programs and services. They will simultaneously establish and strengthen our relationships with local community groups. The main role of the Community Development Worker is to help the organization to maintain its understanding of the community and to fill the gaps in services that are needed related to hearing loss. This work will be integral to the organization’s strategic planning process.

This job supports youth who self-identify as being part of under-represented groups, including those who are part of the LGBTQ+ community, or as having additional barriers to entering or staying in the labor market.
Priority will be given to persons with disabilities, especially those who are hard of hearing oral communicators.
