We’re seeking a community liaison officer for our digital literacy training project (AlphaNumérique). AlphaNumérique is a project focused on teaching basic digital literacy skills (using a computer, surfing the Internet, developing critical digital skills), which will take place throughout Quebec (and francophone Canada). In collaboration with the project’s larger institutional partners, the Community Liaison Officer will research the specific needs related to digital literacy of both the project’s target audiences and of specific community organizations working with these populations, so that digital literacy training can be adapted to fit these needs. The Community Liaison Officer will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community organizations working throughout Québec and francophone Canada who could participate in the project by receiving professional training for their staff, so that staff are able to give basic literacy training to their clientele. The position is a contract for 30 hours per week, starting at $17/hour with potential for increase due to internal negotiations, beginning in early September.
