Job Description:
The Community Recreational and Leisure Programs Counselor will provide service to the Anglophone community affected by hearing loss. They will be responsible for creating and implementing accessible digital activities for children at risk of noise-induced hearing loss. Noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) programs have always been necessary but have become increasingly so during the pandemic as children spend more and more time on devices that can produce damaging sounds and are often used at dangerous volume levels. The programs created by the counselor will provide tips and assistance related to hearing loss prevention. The counselor will use digital means such as Good Forms, social media platforms, and the Hear Québec website to promote, implement, and evaluate the NIHL programs.

Priority will be given to persons with disabilities, especially those who are hard of hearing oral communicators.
