CHIP is looking for an experienced teacher/instructor to teach a Beginner’s Computer Course to hard of hearing seniors.
The ideal candidate will be able to speak slowly and very clearly with good volume, and will be willing to modify their way of speaking if necessary.
The candidate will be very aware of keeping their face and lips visible at all times when they are speaking and will be very patient, mature, confident, and capable of explaining topics in different ways using suitable teaching methods for seniors.
The candidate must have experience working with people with hearing loss or disabilities.
Priority will be given to candidates with hearing loss or other disabilities.
Topics covered will include computer basics (computer parts, how to turn on/off), computer maintenance (Anti-Malware/Anti-Virus Software) how to safely connect to and use the internet, how to protect your information online, how to safely use email, how to use social media, how to use video calling (Skype, Messenger etc), how to troubleshoot.
