The Coordinator, Network Engagement reports to the Director, Engagement and Mobilization. Working closely with the Manager, Advocacy and Engagement, the successful candidate will carry out activities related to growing a Canadian-wide research and policy network for the charitable and nonprofit sector. This involves administering tasks related to knowledge mobilization activities, coordinating the work and input of multiple stakeholders in development of sector-related public policy, and carrying out supportive tasks related to research.

The successful candidate would look at things with an eye for efficiency and continuous quality improvement; be a creative thinker and have an ability to synthesize large amounts of information; and has experience in making sound judgements under pressure. We need a coordinator who is able to be responsive to a rapidly changing environment, who will naturally seek connection with new individuals and organizations, and aid the team in strengthening existing relationships. Finally, we are seeking an individual who works autonomously and is self-motivated.
This position is located in Montreal, but candidates in other locations will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Social Media & Marketing teams to integrate advocacy communications into overall organizational communications across various digital and non-digital channels.
- Support with and/or oversight of event planning and logistics (forums, lobby days, luncheons, conferences, panels).
- Liaison and other logistics involved in convening sector leaders for consultations and activities related to policy development.
- General administrative functions including database and document management, updating spreadsheets and trackers, and maintaining up-to-date contact lists.
- Assist in carrying out and monitoring the team’s engagement strategy and periodic advocacy and knowledge mobilization campaigns.
- Liaise with vendors, including graphic designers, printers, caterers.
- Represent Imagine Canada at policy and research-related events and conferences.
- Assist in the execution of communications, engagement & mobilization strategies.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- A demonstrated ability to make effective use of social media in a professional context.
- Experience working in a network or membership based organization.
- Strong aptitude towards technology including, but not limited to, list management, website maintenance and updating, and the use of Mailchimp for email campaigns.
- Experience with customer relations management software (specifically Salesforce) and/or knowledge of campaigning software for advocacy and mobilization efforts.
- Experience with identifying & monitoring program metrics and targets.
- Knowledge of and experience with network mapping tools.
- Is fluent in French as well as English, verbal and written.

- Has experience working effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.
- Is familiar with federal government structures and processes.
- Has training in or experience with knowledge mobilization.
- Has knowledge of the social innovation and social finance policy landscape, particularly in Quebec.
Salary starting range: $41,600 – $54,100, plus benefits.
