La semaine des arts
La semaine des arts (www.artsndg.ca) is an artistic and cultural broadcaster based in the CDN-NDG borough that offers inclusive and democratic programming for the family, young people and cultural communities. From visual art to music, film and dance, La semaine des arts is a springboard for the local arts scene and a chance to demonstrate our international-class talents.
Reporting to the Programming Director and the General director of the organization, the General Production Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of logistics, equipment, site management, and all related production duties for the Montreal Monster Mash (22-24 June) and NDG Arts Week (20-26 August) festivals in CDN-NDG.
What you will do?
Assist the festival managers in organizing the production of the events
Coordinate and maintain a production schedule of the event
Assist in the design and layout of the event sites
Organization and logistics of the events around the festival
Coordinate with suppliers by following the production schedule
Coordinate the VeloArt program
On-spot location manager at different events during the festival
Work as liaison with programming collaborators, sponsors, venue owners, and volunteers.
Perform other general task related to the nature of the job or asked by the Directors
Who you are?
Fluent in English and French
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented
Strong communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Ability to manage stress
Practical and creative
No 9 to 5 mentality
Interest in Arts and Culture
Good understanding of Office Suite: Word, Excel, Powerpoint
CEGEP or university student
Driver’s License (optional)
Able to lift and carry approximately 30 pounds
14$ / hour
Period: Full time from 1st of April to October 15th (with a possibility for renewal)
30-40 hours / week, 5 days / week leading up to the festivals
Hours will vary and additional hours will be required during the festivals (Available evenings and Weekends)
