The successful candidate will use their skills to ensure kitchen safety, hygiene, nutrition and meals for approx. 20-30 residents 3 times daily. Some weekend work and flexibility expected. The candidate has an understanding of nutritional health care for individuals who struggle with their weight and sedentary lifestyles. The candidate will be comfortable working alone but enjoy being part of a compassionate, caring team. A valid Quebec driver’s license is an asset. A knowledge of nonprofits an asset. Follow up skills essential.
Nazareth Community: Non-for-profit organization providing housing and support for individuals who have struggled with homelessness, mental health issues, addictions and PTSD.
Responsibilities include the following:
• Order kitchen supplies in a timely manner
• Arrange pick up and organization of food donations
• Weekly menu planning
• Innovative and nutritious, seasonally relevent meal preparation
• Assist in supervising residents and volunteers in the community kitchen area.
