A SENIORS NETWORK… FOR SENIORS…BY SENIORS
On Monday, April 27, 2015, Seniors Action Quebec, a non-profit organization working on behalf of English-speaking seniors in Quebec, will host a family Conference on the new Provincial Legislation Bill 52: End of Life Choices. The day will start at 8:30 a.m. when coffee will be served followed by a full day of information with Panels and Kiosks and social interaction until 5:00 p.m. The goal of the conference is to provide an opportunity for individuals to become informed on the new legislation and what other services are available to them when facing terminal illness.
The hope is to begin discussions with family members, caregivers and health care professionals to ensure that their decisions are understood and respected.
Topics to be covered include:
- Religious Perspectives
- Front Line medical situations and services
- Depression and Terminal Illness
- Legal and Funeral Arrangements
