Primary tasks and responsibilities include:
- Overseeing, managing, and scheduling part-time worker-members
- Ensuring the overall functioning of the store, including (but not limited to):
- addressing customer complaints
- working the till
- general store maintenance
- processing books as they arrive and pricing them
- placing orders, completing book returns, communicating with suppliers
- communicating with professors
- inventory management
- Organizing events, including semesterly used book sales
- In coordination with the Finance Coordinator, performing sales analyses and commenting on general sales trends
- Liasing with the Board of Directors, including presenting a monthly staff report and implementing Board directives
- Generally doing what needs to be done for the store!

- Have experience working in a retail environment
- Have management experience
- Have exceptional organizational skills and/or project management experience
- Have excellent communications skills and good people skills more generally
- Have good problem-solving skills
- Be self-motivated
- Be able to deal with problems that arise during stressful situations/be able to work under pressure
- Have a familiarity with Mac computers, as well as Microsoft Office (Excel especially) and Google Drive
- Share similar values with the Co-op’s mission and mandate and be committed to upholding those values in the workplace, including: not-for-profit business models and other alternatives to capitalism; left/radical politics; social justice, including issues affecting oppressed groups including (but not limited to): people of colour, women, queer people, trans people, and people with disabilities

- A Bachelor’s degree or other experience as a student in post-secondary education
- Experience with Lightspeed OnSite
- Experience working in a bookstore, library, or other book-related field
- Spoken & written French (intermediary)
- The ability to lift and carry boxes up to 30lbs
- Experience working with/knowledge of Concordia University and its communities
- Experience with non-profits, not-for-profits, community organizations, or other alternative business models
Salary: 16,50$ per hour at 32 hours a week
Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis, and will begin Monday, July 29th.
