JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Community and Social Service Worker
CATEGORY: Intervention Animator
SALARY RANGE: 13.10$
ACCOUNTABILITY: General Manager and Community Support Coordinator
POSITION OBJECTIVES: To support the implementation of Intervention based projects for
vulnerable and isolated seniors

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with weekly “Shop For” service 20%
• Coordinate Visits with members, integration activities outdoors (Look on the Bright Side,
• Art Hive) at a distance to reduce isolation of seniors during the summer months 40%
• Workshops via Bell telephone conferencing 20%
• Support with Reassurance Call service 15%
• Administration support 5%

WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a full time (35 hours a week) position for 8 weeks.
Start date: July 13th, 2020
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Asset: Background in Special Care Counselling, Social Services, Community Recreation
• Leadership Training
• Asset having expertise in a field relevant to older adults
• Animation and facilitation skills
• Experience in working with older adults
• Fluently bilingual (English/French)
• Must be between 15 and 30 years old
