The Cummings Centre, a leader in the provision of quality programs and professional services for the 50+ community, is seeking candidates for the following position:
Staff Associate – Training & Development (Full Time)
The mandate of the Volunteer Department is to ensure the recruitment, screening, orientation, education, training, retention and recognition of volunteers of all ages who are involved in all aspects of the Centre. It determines organizational needs and responds by creating stimulating and meaningful volunteer opportunities to engage capable and caring individuals to support the Centre’s programs and services. We are currently looking for a Staff Associate – Training & Development. This role is responsible for the education and training of volunteers so they may effectively carry out their duties throughout the Centre. This role will also ensure that the Volunteer Department meets the needs of its francophone volunteers in all aspects of its responsibilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop & implement all educational and leadership workshops and Orientations along with in-service training sessions for volunteers, both in French & English.
Oversee various volunteer committees that are responsible for creating all related training.
Responsible for creating and maintaining a Training Resource Bank.
Create outreach efforts to recruit and integrate francophone volunteers.
Responsible for related administrative duties.
Responsible for working within the allotted budget.
Fluently bilingual: French & English
Minimum 3 years relevant experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work within a team
Excellent organizational skills
Experience with the 50+ population a strong asset
Previous experience with volunteers an asset
