Purpose:
A large part of ACCM’s funding comes from the AIDS Community Action Program (ACAP), which is undergoing a name change to the Community Action Fund (CAF). Our main project with ACAP focuses on HIV prevention in Montreal, as well as support services for people living with HIV or hepatitis C. This project is coming to an end in 2017 and we are looking for a volunteer to act as an External Evaluator and create an end-of-project evaluation, which will act as a baseline for the next 5 years of funding.
Main Responsibilities:
Within 7 weeks, the evaluator is expected to fulfill following tasks
Become familiar with the project goals, objectives and deliverables
Become familiar with the existing evaluation tools and ACAP’s reporting template
Prepare the evaluation plan
Work with ACAP project staff and ACCM Program Manager to gather data and do qualitative interviews with select project participants
Analyze gathered data
Prepare the report
Personal qualifications and skills:
Program evaluation experience
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
Commitment to principles of harm reduction and anti-oppression
Epidemiology background is an asset
Strong knowledge in HIV/AIDS, sexuality, sexual health is an asset
Bilingualism is an asset
Time Commitment:
This position will last until mid-February with a commitment of approximately 4 hours per week.
