Support Worker

Nazareth Community:  Non-for-profit organization providing housing and support for individuals who have struggled with homelessness, mental health issues, addictions and PTSD.

The successful candidate will use their skills and education to act as an extension to the intervention staff and the needs of our residents. The support worker candidate will be comfortable working alone but enjoy being part of a compassionate, caring team.

Must be fully bilingual

A valid Quebec driver’s license is an asset. Knowledge of non-for-profits and community initiatives is also an asset.

Salary: $19.29 – $22.80

Hours:  approx. 32-40 hours flexible/weekends (residences open from 9 a.m -5p.m)

Responsibilities include the following:

Collaborate and assist the senior workers in supporting the residents

Assist with programs, field trips, accompaniment

Assist with medication distribution

Take appropriate action to inform senior workers to deal with any emergency situation, with the ability to remain calm and professional

Help volunteers and students fulfill their commitment
