Redesigned Commun-IT website officially launched

COCo is excited to announce the launch of our new Commun-IT website!  Dynamic, client-focused and easy to work with, the new website reflects Commun-IT’s working philosophy and has been updated with tips and tools to help non-profit organizations and community groups better use technology in the service of their cause.

The new website features:

  • A redesigned ICT Knowledge Base covering topics from project management and web surveys to data backups and multimedia. Organized into a grid of 16 different categories, each page contains general tips as well as a selection of related tools.
  • A new system to highlight the most recent tools and information relating to community-based ICT, using custom Twitter feeds and hashtags. You can focus on one or several topics that are relevant to your organization using the corresponding hashtag(s), or follow us on Twitter to see them all.
  • An updated portfolio section with a selection of the wide swath of work Commun-IT staff members have been involved in over the past 2 years, including websites, multimedia production and training sessions for dozens of community groups based in Quebec and elsewhere.
  • An ever-expanding bank of training videos and webinars that tackle ICT questions in the community-sector context, such as Understanding Social Media for Community Groups or Hassle-free and Cheap IT Solutions.

 

Commun-IT is a COCo pilot project designed to tackle the particularities of ICT needs in the community sector through COCo’s organizational development approach, with project staff located in Montreal and Quebec.
Commun-IT offers a mix of free and paid services and support, and unlike many technology businesses, our info sessions are NOT about trying to sell you something. We will explore many possible solutions to your communications and technology needs and will give you the resources you need to move forward. If your group does want more in-depth support we also offer training, coaching, and development services at affordable sliding scale rates. We may even be able to help you access funding to help your group implement communications and technology solutions.
