Community Based Research Canada
Community Based Research Canada (CBRC) is a network of people and organizations engaged in Community-Based Research to meet the needs of people and communities. The intent is to build an inclusive and open network, engaging already existing networks, to build support for community-university partnerships in community-based research and community-engagement. We believe that the time has come for making higher education a resource and partner with communities in addressing Canada’s social, economic and environmental priorities. At the international level this effort is mirrored by the declaration of the Global Alliance on Community-Engaged Research which is influencing international discussions on the future role of higher education in meeting global needs for sustainable development.
