Erika (she/her/elle/ella) is a global citizen and first-generation Colombian settler based out of the south shore of Montreal, the traditional and unceded territories of the Kanien’kehá:ka. Erika is an experienced researcher and community facilitator with a passion for working in the not-for-profit sector. She has over 7 years of experience working as a freelance consultant and over 10 years of experience as a facilitator. Her studies in policy management and community development led her to program management in rural Peru, and extensive research, facilitation, evaluation, and leadership experience. As a freelance consultant, Erika is passionate about organizational alignment, strategic planning, coaching, community consultations, and leadership development. She has collaborated on many organizational alignment processes for corporate, government, and non-profit clients. A great part of her career has been focused on working with youth, newcomers, and women in volunteer-run organizations. Her approach to work is rooted in the principles of anti-oppression, collaboration, and capacity building at individual, organizational, and community levels.
