The Community Innovation Fund

The Community Innovation Fund (CIF) is a social financing initiative managed by the QCGN and funded by the Government of Canada’s Social Partnership Initiative in Official Language Minority Communities.   From April 2020 to March 2023, the CIF will provide a total of $1.1 million to selected community organizations to implement a wide range of innovative projects that address ongoing challenges diminishing the vitality of vulnerable English-speaking seniors and youth across the province.  Recipient organizations of the CIF will be eligible for 12, 24, or 36 months of funding.

Are you Eligible?

Eligible projects must:

  • be pilot initiatives that address the needs of either youth or seniors (or both)
  • include the creation of collaborative, non-traditional partnerships
  • demonstrate a viable plan for sustainability

To acknowledge and best support the needs of diverse English-speaking communities, special consideration will be given to projects that address intersectional issues.
