Tel-Aide callers come from all walks of life and all age groups. What they appreciate the most is finding, at the other end of the phone line, a person that will listen to them with empathy and compassion. In the past year, Tel-Aide responded to approximately 33,000 calls from people who are faced with the following situations:
• Emotional distress
• Isolation and loneliness
• Burnout and workplace stress
• Problems related to mental health
• Relationship problems
• Addictions (alcohol, drugs, gambling, pornography, etc.)
• Domestic violence
• And more…
The art of listening can be learned! Tel-Aide will show you the ropes of empathetic listening so you can help people who need someone to talk to. Become a listener with Tel-Aide and see how your presence will make a difference!
