Université Populaire 2014 : Laboratory of Concepts: Defining Words, Defining Actions
This year again, The COCAF (including COCo) is preparing a Université Populaire for the summer.
The event will take place August 26th to 29th in Chertsey, Québec.

This Year’s Theme
How does our definition of key words shape our actions?
This 3-day practical workshop offers community groups from diverse sectors a chance to play with concepts together to increase our ability to work across difference.
Language and Culture
The Université Populaire has traditionally been a francophone event. This year, we are focusing on briding language divides. We especially encourage English speaking community leaders and organizations to attend. In so doing, we hope to create a space where real exchange can occur across different cultural realities.
Bursaries for Groups
Working towards the accessibility of this event, we are offering bursaries for groups so that they have an opportunity to come. Please see “How to Register” (in the programming document below) for further details.
Gorgeous Location
The Université Populaire is held 1.5 hours outside of Montréal at a beautiful campground in Chertsey, Québec. If you come to UP 2014, you will have plenty of opportunites to share & network as well as relax and have down time by the lake or woods.
