Corporations Canada By-law Builder
If you’re building your first bylaws, or updating some really old ones, you may want to look at a few examples of by-laws, or simply use the online by-law builder by Corporations Canada (designed for Federally incorporated non-profits, not provincially incorporated ones).
It’s fairly easy to use, and will build your by-laws first draft for you as you answer questions about what you want in them. You can then export the result and make any additional changes you require.
It was made with federally-incorporated non-profits in mind, so if your organization is provincially incorporated, the result will need to be further reviewed with that in mind, and some alternative options considered as well.
