Introducing our newest COCo staff members!

COCo would like to welcome two new staff members to our team: Kira Page, our new Communications and Membership Engagement Coordinator, and Juniper Belshaw as the Funding Development and Contract Coordinator!

Juniper joins our team with mega-enthusiasm for organizational health. She brings 10 years of experience in the Montreal community sector in fundraising and communications, with groups like Head & Hands, Dans la Rue, and Project 10. She looks forward to supporting COCo’s members with all of their funding needs!

Kira comes to us from QPIRG-McGill, where she was the Outreach Coordinator. She brings a strong background in communications for grassroots organizations across Montreal and is excited to help COCo’s membership improve and expand their publicity and membership engagement strategies.

COCo is looking for a Community Technology and Web Development Intern under the Young Intern program, coordinated by Communautique


The Opportunity:

COCo is hiring a Community Technology and Web Development Intern. This is a 6 month position at 30 hours/week, starting October 2015 and ending March 2016. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Salary: $19.91/hour, with the benefits of working in a flexible, creative, non-traditional work environment.

Free Innoweave Cloud Computing Workshop co-hosted by COCo

COCo is proud to partner with Innoweave to offer another Cloud Computing workshop. This workshop will be conducted in English and French, on Thursday, November 5th, 2015 at the Centre St-Pierre, from 9:30am to 4:30pm.

Participating organizations will also be eligible to apply for Implementation Funding in January 2016 to engage a coach to help them with development following the workshop. To learn more about Innoweave Implementation Funding, click here.

NetSquared MTL presents: Developing an effective Web presence

How can community organizations stand out on the web ans use different platforms at their disposal to better attain their objectives?

A website is certainly an important communication tool for an organization, but the diversity of available platforms (social media, CRMs, newsletters, etc). makes it all the more necessary to have a wider vision of what one’s Web presence could entail. This mini-conference, presented by Marc Ouimet, aims to give a global perspective on different tools and strategies that an organization can use to reach target audiences and get itself known on the Web.

Innovation Jeunes seeks volunteer tutors

Innovation Youth’s mission is to see youth engaged in their community and be better able to integrate into their social, family, and academic lives. We offer a high school completion program for youth between the ages of 16 and 25 years old, coupled with artistic and nutrition workshops to complement youths’ learning. Volunteers assist with the teaching of various high school courses, and offer support to youth completing their studies.
