This 2 hour Virtual Facilitation Training is designed for people who want to level-up their ability to effectively lead group sessions in a virtual environment. If you collaborate with humans online in any way, this training is for you. Facilitation skills can empower any role within a team by optimizing engagement, encouraging creativity and collaboration and driving effective decision-making.
Learning objectives :
- Explore the differences between in person and online facilitation. Challenges and opportunities
- Learn about digital facilitation basics and virtual etiquette
- Online engagement strategies to boost participation
- Learn about online tools to integrate different technologies into a virtual session
- Unpack challenging virtual facilitation scenarios including common tech hiccups and how to deal with challenging participants
- Receive tips and tricks for facilitating online.
Ateliers/C:
est une série de moments d’apprentissages pour les organisations soutenues par Centraide du Grand Montréal, un espace pour se rencontrer et apprendre les uns des autres.
Au cours de l’année à venir, ateliers/C souhaite créer des espaces de formation et de discussion, chaque fois sur un thème différent. Ces moments se veulent une opportunité de présenter de nouvelles idées, stratégies ou encore des outils inspirants… Et surtout d’offrir un espace pour se retrouver et partager des connaissances.
Ces moments sont offerts gratuitement au réseau des organisations financées par Centraide du Grand Montréal. Ateliers/C est un projet de Centraide du Grand Montréal réalisé en partenariat avec le Centre des Organismes Communautaires (COCo).

Jess Malz and Juniper Belshaw
Facilitateur-ice
Jess Malz is a learning experience designer, facilitator, certified coach and Mischief Maker Collaborator. Jess is passionate about creating interactive workshops, programs and experiences online, in person and in blended formats. Jess is known for their engaging and playful facilitation style with a deep emphasis on fostering connection and meaning. Jess is the founder of Inbo, a Learning Design Agency.
Juniper Belshaw is a facilitator and consultant, specialising in leadership development, team effectiveness, and organizational change. Juniper has worked with acrobats, creative executives, emerging leaders, entrepreneurs, non-hierarchical teams, and non-profit organizations, and has facilitated dozens of workshops in Canada, Japan, the UK, Mexico, Argentina, and the US. With a masters in Human Systems Intervention and as co-founder of the Montreal chapter of “Reinventing Work,” Juniper is obsessed with creating thriving, human workplaces.
